Order picker (Low, Medium & High Level)
Course Aim
On completion of training the course members will:
- be able to operate the truck model used during training safely and correctly in accordance with the manufacturer's handbook and accepted good practice
- clearly understand the causes of instability of trucks and loads
- be able to carry out a routine pre-use inspection of the truck
Course Content
- Introduction to the truck, controls and instruments
- Starting, moving, stopping and steering
- Simple manoeuvring exercises in an open area
- General practice in manoeuvring in confined areas
- Hydraulic system and use of controls
- Further practice in using hydraulic controls
- Pre-use inspection and takeover maintenance
- Replenish the trucks energy system
- Load handling and operating practice in open and confined areas
- Order picker at various levels
Certification and Validation
Candidates successfully completing this course will receive a certificate of training accredited by either RTITB or ITSSAR
